Before you report
Please check the following before submitting a report, as these are the most common reasons a collection does not take place:
- Your bin was at the kerbside before 6am on your collection day
- The bin lid was fully closed and not overloaded
- No contamination was present — for example, food waste in the recycling bin
- Your collection day has not changed due to a recent bank holiday
Crews are required to leave bins that are contaminated, overloaded, or not accessible. If any of these applied, the missed collection cannot be reported — please correct the issue and present your bin on your next scheduled day.
What we need from you
| Information | Why we need it |
|---|---|
| Your full address | To identify your property on the collection route |
| Which bin was missed | General waste, recycling, food waste, or garden waste |
| Your collection day | To verify the crew visited your street |
| Date of the missed collection | Reports must be made within three working days |
What happens next
We will investigate and, if the miss is confirmed, arrange a return collection within two working days. Leave your bin at the kerbside — do not move it back until it has been emptied. You will receive a confirmation reference by email when your report is logged.
